10 things that made me happy

A lot of stuff has been getting me down lately, hence why I haven't felt like blogging much here. Also I've been so busy with interning 9 to 5 and working on job apps that I've not had much spare time at hand. Contrary to what I thought, haven't been doing much Londoning either. Most weekend's I've opted to nest in my room reading (I'm SO behind with my reading challenge) and watching tv, listening to music and sleeping.

I'm once again at a place in my life where the road ahead is very unclear. Yes, story of my life. Trying to keep my spirits up, stay positive and keep fighting. But I thought a little 10 Things TMnY-style post would do me some good just about now. So here goes.

10 Things that managed to put a smile on my face...

1. Fireworks

Last night was Bonfire/Guy Fawkes night. Any special day that involves fireworks is a happy day. I caught the fireworks at Southwark Park. Found ourselves standing right under it. It was magical.

2. Romance

Flash mob/singalong style. Gets me all warm, fuzzy and hopeful.

3. 90s music

Sugar Ray. Remember them? Massive nostalgic hit.

4. That being said, discovering new groovy tunes like this

and this!

5. Books that 'get' me

You know those books are rare but when you find yourself between the pages of one, it's like finding a soulmate.

6. Postcards

from travelling friends.

7. Foamy graphics on my lattes

8. Autumn leaves

9. Amazing song covers

I've been finding so many fantastic cover songs which I will share in another 10 Rad cover songs post. In the meantime let me share with you this cover of Rhianna's Please Don't Stop the Music by one of the contestants who came on The X Factor USA. It made me smile.

10. Markets
